About Us
Welcome to the inaugural issue of the Skiatook Bluegrass
Association Newsletter. We'll keep you up to date with the
latest festival news, associated festival events, and other
topics of interest. Please forward this newsletter to your
friends and acquaintances who would be interested in:
- Attending the festival
- Volunteering to help with the festival
- Exhibiting their arts and crafts at the festival
The Skiatook Bluegrass Festival is sponsored by
the Skiatook Bluegrass Association, Inc. The Skiatook
Bluegrass Association is organized under the laws of the state
of Oklahoma as a non-profit, volunteer-based organization. It
is not organized for the private gain of any person or
persons.
The corporation is organized solely for the purpose of
promoting and preserving the musical form known as
“Bluegrass”. The purpose of the organization is to educate and
encourage bluegrass artists and audiences in the development,
performance, and preservation of this unique form of American
musical heritage and culture. Towards this end, the
Association promotes several programs throughout the year.
If you are interested in promoting bluegrass music, please
join the Association. Dues are $15 per year.
Simply donate $15 (or more) to receive an automatic
membership. Benefits include our deepest appreciation, a
dinner and show before the festival, and a special place in
heaven!
You can donate on our website via PayPal or mail a donation to
the address given below. Thank you.

Volunteers Are Needed
Our festival depends on the help of volunteers. We need
volunteers the entire year before the festival as well as
during the week of the festival. Everyone can help!
It does not matter where you live or how much time you can
spare. We have an opportunity that you will find
interesting, enjoyable, and satisfying. You can
work with others, at home on your computer, or as you travel
to festivals and fairs. If you can spare an hour or two
on occasion, we would welcome your help. You might have
just the skills or connections to make an important task
easily accomplished!
We need volunteers now in the areas of:
- Publicity
- Vendor Recruitment
- Office Work
- Fund Raising
- Artwork and Design
- Consulting
- Festival Week set up and tear down
If you would like to volunteer your services, please email:
volunteers@skiatookbluegrass.com , call Fern at
918- 633-5146 or fill out the form on our
website: www.skiatookbluegrass.com.
Vendors and Concessions
Vendors and concessions of all types: food, arts,
crafts, etc., add greatly to the enjoyment of a festival.
We cordially invite all vendors, concessionaires, artisans,
and craftspeople to participate in our festival.
Directions to our festival are provided on our webpage:
www.skiatookbluegrass.com.
- This is an open air festival. Please provide your
own shelter.
- Electric service (up to 50A) and water are available.
Help (manpower) to get you set up is also available.
- On-site camping with water and electric hook-ups and a
dump station is available.
- To help your business we will promote your concession in
one of our newsletters, and on our “Concessions” page.
We will provide a webpage for you, and a link to your website
if you have one.
- Register either on-line or by mail.
- Fees: Registration and booth space are free to
artisans and crafters. Electricity is available for $12
a day. Since all concessions are located within the
ticket area, the purchase of a festival ticket is required.
The fee for on-site food vendors (i.e. hotdogs, hamburgers,
funnel cakes, etc.) is $100 a day ($25 for Thursday night).
A festival ticket and all utilities are included. We can
accept only a limited number of food vendors so applications
will be handled on a first come first served basis.
